Hibernia Forum co-launch new edition of European Nanny State Index

Once again, Ireland featured very high on this thorough index of the growing Nanny State culture in various EU and non EU states, moving from 3rd to 2nd place. The detailed index was compiled by Epicenter EU, in conjunction with the IEA London. Below are pictures of panel discussion, including contributions from our director Eamon Delaney.

Exciting conference on Ireland in the Era of Trump and Brexit
The Hibernia Forum held an important and exciting conference, on Thursday, 23 February on ‘What Now For Ireland in the Era of Trump and Brexit?’ The conference, with an impressive line up of Irish and international speakers, was held in the offices of Connect Ireland, on 14 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2.

Among the speakers were former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, who was very insightful on EU treaties and negotiations, as well as Olivia Buckley of the Tax Institute, Neil McDonnell of ISME. Oliver Mangan of AIB and Lucinda Creighton of Vulcan Consulting. It was a fascinating discussion and we are grateful to Connect Ireland for all their help.  Below are some great pictures of the event from Rob Duffy of Students for Liberty https://www.studentsforliberty.org/profiles/rob-duffy/
